So today will mark day 7 of the April 30-day challenge I've been streaming live on Twitch's platform, which is a big deal for me as I've always wanted to be able to stream regularly to my heart's content. Definitely a bigger deal in that it allows me to have fun with my work and to at least consistently push out new art pieces. Last night the prompt for the challenge was "Eyeball". Now the first two things that popped into my head were Mike Wazowski from Monsters' Inc., and a Zaku Mobile Suit from Mobile Suit Gundam. One of my viewers jokingly suggested I combine them, and we went with that.
And this is the end result haha. I couldn't stop laughing to myself as it slowly went from initial sketch, to drawing, to lineart, to flat, and then to final rendering and coloring. Even the name was a pun in itself. But if you haven't tried one of these monthly art challenges, you should. It'll keep your brain active and more or less force away any attempts by your brain to give you an artist's block.
